hi ive been training greyhounds for several years ive finally got a 32kg dog that will not let me cut his nails ive tried everything at one time even tried 4 men helping physically impossible to hold him is there anything that you can advise that will totally sedate him and wont have any long term effect on him so the job can be done on a monthly basis.

It's very obvious that the dog has been hurt badly having the nails cut at one time. I could give you a spiel about playing with the dogs feet and toes everyday after and during petting him to get his confidence, and then taking a little bit off the nails with a nail file twice a week, but if this has not been already done by now it's not much use going through it all. Cheers, Tom
