Hi TOMJS,
Sorry mate but I'm not aware of any suppliers in England, and I guess the only choice is an online store, it is also known as Old Timers Iodise Oil. Unfortunately when you factor in delivery costs it can get a bit expensive.
There again if it's not available locally the formula is very simple, and I have no doubt a local chemist would be able to make it up without too many problems.
As far as I know the active constituents of iodised oil - each ml contains 2mg iodine and 70mg methyl salicylate in Arachis oil (peanut oil) but then if you have some available in the original bottle it should be on the label.
Cheers, Tom

Also meant to ask Tom how do you think the best way to apply it is I generally put a generous drop on my hand and massage the affected area but my muscleman says I should just spray once and that's plenty but I thought that was quite scrimpy

Hi TOMJS,
You are definitely applying it the right way, just spraying it on does not do the job.
Best results are obtained by gently massaging the product into the skin, and massaging the sore area in the process is also very beneficial.
Cheers, Tom

Hi can you tell me were I can get R Iodised oil from thanx heaps Sorry Janene, the only way that you may find a supplier in your area is to search the Internet, and in some instances it may be available via mail order. As a last resort if it’s not obtainable from the local pet shop or online, because the actual formula is extremely simple with only three main components, there is a small chance that a local small chemist shop with a dispensing chemist may be able to make it up for you. Cheers, Tom
