Hi Tom any chance you can give me some advice please, I have a coursing bitch who has a bad case of the thumps after a gallop, she is galloping over 400 yards behind a lure, she is showing above average pace and seeing out every yard of the distance. she is in flying form jumping out of her skin and shows no ill affects from her work load, her muscle tone is fine and shows no sign of dehydration but her diaphragm is going crazy after the gallop, straight after the gallop there is nothing but after 1 minute or so it starts banging, within 5 minutes she returns to normal, I would appreciate your help Tom, thankyou.

Hi Adam, In most instances the cause of this problem is associated with electrolyte and calcium levels as well as current hydration. See: THIS postCheers, Tom
