Hi Tom, as our dogs have such a clean environment I.e there not eating poo, earth etc in wild , what could you give to balance bacteria either way in stomach- I assume they need good and bad bacteria like us humans to give them the right balance- I know natural yogurts was one

Hi Dh,
There is certainly no need to add any sort of "good bacteria" to a greyhounds diet unless there is a problem with the digestive system as demonstrated by poorly shaped or "cow plad" droppings. Even then in most instances the cause is the diet itself rather than a lack of good bacteria.
The only time I believe something like yoghert is a worthwhile addition to a diet for short a period of time, is after the dog has been treated with a course of antibiotics.

Raw green tripe is good,I had a dog with some sort of gut problem and fed him a pound of raw tripe and half a loaf of wholemeal brown bread every day,it absolutely turned the dog around,he never looked back.
