Hi tom I was just wondering if you would not mind looking at my routine and tell me weather there could be a room for improvement or adjustment etc
I wake up at 6:30 every morning (I only have 2 dogs) Takes dogs down the road to empy out takes me 5 minutes or so as soon as I'm back I clean out the kennels make there beds change drinking water changed and pen scrubbed then feed there breakfast witch consists of bread milk and honey As soon as breakfast is had I wash the bowls up and get them back on the lead for a 40 minuite walk I get back it's feet scrubbed and left to cool down That takes me to around half past 8 after the dogs have had chance to cool down I get them one by one and ultrasound any niggles and use the mag bucket for wrists and hocks I use theese treatment modules for 3 days after the race and after they've Had there treatments I put them in my porta mag for the neccasarg time after it's all said and done it's normally 12 o clock and the dogs go back out for another empty down the road once back I weight my dogs and weigh my afternoon feeds out, I leave the dogs while 4 o clock and take them back down the road to empy before feeding and then take them out last minuite before bed for another empty,
I must also mention every time I take the dogs out for 5 to empty I massage there niggles before I put them back away
My feed in the afternoon is 20 % and 28% protein biscuits moxed together with pasta and a pound of meat what do you think tom?

Hi JordanB,
As far as caring for your greyhounds is concerned your basic daily procedure should certainly keep your dogs happy and healthy. Providing your running exercise routine is of the same standard there is no reason for them not to perform up to their best.

Hi John,
While it does depend to a large extent on your girls general health, in most instances 7 years of age is not too old.
But ....... and there is alway a but ....... you do have to be aware that she may not conceive as easily as a younger bitch, and may not have a large litter. The other problem that is likely to occur is that due to the fact that this would be her first litter, and because at 7 years of age her body is not as flexible as a much younger bitch, there is a considerable possibility that she may require a cesarean section as a natural birth may be too difficult under the circumstances.
Cheers, Tom
