my bitch while kept in work has come into milk if i have her needled how long can she not race for ?
How long does it take for the milk stage to clear so i can start working/racing her again ?

Hi Dave,
This is a question best asked of your Vet as he/she will have a chance to examine your girl to assess just how much milk is there, and whether or not injecting with a hormone or some other medication will help at this point in time.
If you do intent to bring her back to racing ASAP after any medical treatment please double check with your Vet in regard to withholding times for the drug used. In some instances the safe withholding time for the drug may be longer than just waiting for her milk to dry up.
It is also worth noting that hot hydrobaths will increase milk production while cold packs will assist in reducing it.
