Hi Tom
I have a Bitch that I bought or breeding 6 months ago and I have just found out that she has been suppressed with Lauroblin. She was never allowed her first season and is now 4 years old. Is there anything I can do to get her to break or has she been totally messed up and will never come into season?
Appreciate any help on this matter
Paul

Hi Paul,
I have known of a large number of bitches that were kept off season during their racing career with Laurabolin that came on season normally when they were taken off this steroid.
However it does depend to some extent on the dose given, (and there is a large difference in a dose that is used to keep a bitch off season and one used to try and improve the racing performance,) as to how soon the bitch will come on season. The other concern of course is the fact that she has never yet had a season.
All of this makes me believe that the best option is to first of all wait a couple of months as we are coming into the time of the year when due to the weather conditions a lot of bitches come on season, and if nothing happens through this time, to then take her to a Veterinarian and have her injected to try and make her come on season.
Keep in mind that doing this does not guarantee that she could conceive and have a litter, but that doing this is more in the way of trying to kick start the whole system up again.
Cheers, Tom

Hi Tom
Many thanks for the advice..One thing I am blessed with is patience..I will give her the months you suggest and I have her on vitamin e and evening primrose oil...I have another bitch that has broke so hopefully she might bring her on..I just don't understand why owners don't let a bitch have her first season and then suppress her after that. The bitch will benefit from having her first season.
Again many thanks
Paul
