HI TOM I NEED HELP PLEASE, I HAD BOTH MY GREYHOUNDS BLOOD TESTED AND THEY BOTH HAVE HIGH HEAMOGLOBIN LEVELS, 24.8 AND 24.7 BUT ALL OTHER READINGS WITHIN NORMAL, PCV 60.2 AND 60.1, RBC 8.8 AND 8.5, ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. BOTH DOGS ARE IN GOOD FORM, HEALTHY AND RUNNING WELL, THANKYOU

Hi Adam,
I know that these readings are high, but at the same time I do not think it is anything to worry unduly about.
Haemoglobin is the iron containing oxygen carrying component of the red blood cells, and it would be more of a worry if it was low.
As you say the greyhounds are performing well, and at this point in time their blood is providing the maximum amount of oxygen to the muscle tissue.
The only thing I would keep a careful watch on is the hydration of the greyhounds to ensure the blood does not get too thick.
