tom got a blood test done and the MCHC is 29.4 should a shot of iron life this up to the required level..the wbc is 4.09 so theres no infection...

Hi Thomas,
While it will help, it is doubtful that just one iron injection is going to rectify the lack of iron in the red blood cells in the short term.
This is going to take some time as its not like topping up the iron levels by just injecting some iron into the blood. I only wish it was that simple.
What is required is that iron is made available in the diet or through regular weekly injections for a minimum of four weeks, and then while the existing blood cells are being replaced by new blood cells these then should have the required level of iron in their structure.
