Greyhound books

I did write and publish a book in 1997, and to be quite honest the only reason I did this was because I copped a decent health scare at that time, and just did not want the knowledge I had gained to disappear with me.

However as it turned out I’m still around and recently turned 68.

Unfortunately it is just about impossible to find a publisher prepared to take on the costs involved in publishing a book about greyhounds, mainly because of the limited available market, and the fact that such a book will never finish up on the best sellers list.

At that time I finished up printing and binding this book myself, and subsequently only did 200 copies. While these sold pretty well I earned around 2 dollars per book over and above the actual production costs and decided not to do anymore.

That is the main reason it finished up as a web site, as I wanted the information to be freely available to as many people as possible.

Having said all that, there is a basic outline of a new much more comprehensive book on my computer, which would take another 12 months to complete if I could get motivated enough to finish it.
