Hi Ellen,
Problems in the wrist such as hyperextension and loss of flexion all stem from severe ligament and/or bone damage in the structure of the wrist joint.
While just loss of flexion to some extent is not necessarily debilitating enough to stop a greyhound from racing.
It is however important to find out exactly what changes have occurred in the wrist structure to cause the loss of flexion, and if these changes are severe enough to stop the greyhound from being able to carry its full weight on the wrist joint, as well as the additional stresses that occur during racing around a bend.
This will require x-rays of the wrist joint, and for those X-rays and any visual damage to be assessed by a specialised greyhound Veterinarian.
Without X-rays or being able to examine the greyhound, it is impossible to be able to give you any worthwhile guide as to future racing prospects.
Cheers, Tom

Hi Tom
Thank you so much for your information she can certainly gallop and seems to not have trouble running.
I will find a vet that will be able to assist me, you have given me a slight hope of her doing what she is bred for thanks very much
Ellen
