Hi Mark,
I’m sorry mate but I have no experience with the use of yellow sulphur in a greyhounds diet, either as a remedy for health problems or as a supplement to maintain health.
Because of this I’m unable to advise you in this regard, either in dosage or how often to use this substanc
The only way I have ever used yellow sulphur powder was mixed with lard as an old time remedy for hard and split pads, so that if you wish to use it in a greyhounds diet you are going to have to be guided by whatever advice the health food shop can provide for yellow sulphur in human diets, and then half the dosage.
As far as stopping the oral use of yellow sulphur prior to racing, while I have some concerns as to possible toxicity affecting performances, again it’s difficul to provide advice, however as this substance has no stimulation benefits it unlikely to show in a swab. Therefore stopping its use 48 hours prior to racing should be adequate.
Cheers, Tom
