Hi Dale,
I had not come across that particular product, however checking the ingredients it appears to be a supplement of ingredients that may assist in the long term, such as over a period of months, but would do very little in the short term.
In most instances when there has been some tissue damage such as ligaments strain, or even some ligament fibre damage the preferred treatment generally consists of stimulating the body into strengthening the damaged tissue by applying a liniment that produces some local heat.
This tricks the body into believing that the injury is worse than it really is by creating additional inflammation at the injury site, and therefore stimulates a further healing response.
In this situation because I have no way of checkin whether or not sufficient healing has taken place all I can do is suggest that you give her an easy handslip up a straight and reassess the injury after that run. In particular check for any inflammation and/or pain, if none shows up during the first 8 hours you should be safe to continue working her. If on the other hand there is further inflammation and pain in the area there is no doubt that it will require further treatment with a low level blistering agent or even one of the strengthening Chinese liniments.
In regard to the supplement mentioned, while I would not expect any benefits in the short term it certainly would not hurt and could possibly improve the healing response.
Cheers, Tom

Hi Dale,
The liniment of choice for those types of injuries as well as minor bone fractures is Zheng Gu Shui, and in most instances is best applied to the injury site using a soft tooth brush twice daily for three days. The injury is then allowed to heal and the area to "normalise" for a further seven days.
In most instances such as strains and sprains this is sufficient treatment to allow normal work to resume. In cases of more severe injuries such as minor bone fractures the treatment process may be required to be repeated two or three times to ensure injuries have healed sufficiently.
Cheers, Tom
